Meadowbrook Cell Groups are weekly small group Bible studies that meet throughout the year.
Cell Groups meet in homes and range in size from 5 to 15 people. Cell Groups provide a friendly, comfortable atmosphere in which to explore and pursue lasting spiritual growth within Christian community. New Cell Groups begin by studying and discussing a Bible study series Pursuing Spiritual Transformation by John Ortberg. This series teaches solid Christian Biblical principles and provides a healthy and balanced view of the Christian spiritual life.
Common questions people ask about Cell Groups:
“I have never been a part of a small group Bible study before, what will I experience in the Cell Group?”
For starters, we hope solid friendships and lasting spiritual growth! All Cell Groups have a leader that we call a "shepherd." The shepherd’s responsibility is to lead the Cell Group and care for each member of the group. A typical Cell Group will have times of prayer and worship, a time for discussing and applying the Bible study and finally, a time for just talking and catching up with others in the group.
“What happens if I can’t make it every week?”
While our hope is that you would be able to make the Cell Group meeting each week, sometimes not being there is reality, and that's okay...you are still welcome! Every Cell Group from the beginning outlines its goal for the year and the expectation for those in the group.

Want help with discovering your spiritual gifts?
Pastor Mark Werner and/or your cell group shepherd will be glad to meet with you to discuss this important question. Each year Meadowbrook Church offers special classes on "Understanding your Spiritual Gifts". To find out when the next class will be beginning call the church office at 414-453-7278. In addition, an organization called Church Growth Institute offers a free online questionnaire that ends with an immediate, detailed report based on your input. Many have found it helpful. Visit their website, www.churchgrowth.org, and follow the instructions for "Spiritual Gifts Analysis." (Note: upon clicking this link, you will leave the Meadowbrook website.) Pastor Mark or your cell group shepherd can discuss the results with you.
The questionnaire does not require an e-mail or home address. If you wish to remain anonymous, enter "anonymous" for the name field, and select "no" when asked about optional mailings.
